So we know that Fatboy Slim (a.k.a – Norman Cook) likes to involve fans with his projects.  He had fans create/submit videos for his version of “The Joker” and he is currently having individuals submit remixes for “Toe Jam”, a song from his latest project The Brighton Port Authority.

Well, he is taking it one step further… he’s putting out the call for a video remix competition.  I guess to call it a “remix” isn’t the best thing, it’s really having users create their own video to the song.  Head on over to dailymotion.com for all the information, and get working on the video!

Oh, and here is the video for Fatboy Slim’s “The Joker” – uber cute.

The BPA / Brighton Port Authority (a.k.a Fatboy Slim) is running a remix contest of his first single “Toe Jam Featuring David Byrne”.  The contest winner will get a pair of Technics RP-DH1200 Headphones, Fatboy Slim’s catalog on vinyl and the chance to have your remix released as a digital EP.

Individual tracks for “Toe Jam” are available free for download on the contest site.  The tracks can be rearranged and reused in any way to form a remix of the song and then Norman Cook; Mr. Fatboy Slim, will choose the winners himself!

Check it out here on the contest site, and make sure you check out two of the concert sponsors – BIGSTEREO and Discobelle.

Just a reminder, the completed remixes must be received on or by January 1, 2009 and remember to check out the contest rules.

Have fun and get the word out!

This isn’t what one would expect from Fatboy Slim… actually, no one knows exactly what to expect from Fatboy Slim (a.k.a. Norman Cook) anymore, as he is so eclectic in his production ability.

Come January 26th, The Brighton Port Authority’s debut album, “I think we need a bigger boat” will be released but, until that time, you can enjoy the latest single “Seattle”.

I have to say that Norman Cook really puts out some creative videos!

I saw this video back in June, right before the song came out. This is the perfect use of censorship as art!

Maybe it’s me but the vocals really remind me of his song “Miss America”

Not sure the dance he’s doing at 1:49 into the performance but I love his voice.
