Good news, everyone! (Rumor has it) Futurama to return with 13 new episodes

Ah, the little faith that I had with the entertainment industry may have just gotten stronger – rumor has it that Comedy Central ordered 13 new episodes of the show.

An inside source has revealed exclusively to Collider that “Futurama” has been given a 13 episode order by Comedy Central. Though still technically a rumor at this point, word is that “Futurama” production offices have already opened and that casting is about to move forward.

Ah, yes… let’s just hope they don’t butcher the 13 episodes like they did with the majority of the direct to dvd movies.

Casting booth what?

Isn’t like the Simpsons/Family Guy where there’s like one guy that does 3/4 of the voices?

Totally agree with you on the dvd movies, they need to continue the stories that made up season 5 properly.

The first dvd release was good but 2 and 3 were pretty meh.

No, the Simpsons cast does not voice Futurama. I had wondered the same thing, but I could only assume they are talking about guests/background voices.

I was very disappointed in the DVDs… I was so very looking forward to them, but they really let me down. It almost felt like they were trying to cram too much into the DVDs.

Did you see the 4th one?

Bender’s Big Score
The Beast with a Billion Backs (which was JUST WEIRD, imo)

Sorry. Didn’t mean to get you all excited there. Soon enough, tho, we’ll have a full season to enjoy (or complain) about.
