This just bums me!

Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series “Kung Fu” who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor. He says Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday, but he could not provide further details out of consideration for his family.

Here is the sad comment, one that seems to be coming in from one source and showing up on a number of news wires.

Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals on Thursday morning.

Accidental death? Suicide?

I just read about this on Yahoo news! I’m shocked! They said it was probably a suicide, but…A rope around his GENITALS in addition to his neck? That’s…weird…

I was shocked when I saw it too. My initial thought was health related… Then I saw the rope/genitals thing in a number of place and was, well, even more shocked.

There was no mention of a note, nor do I know if there is a history of suicidal thoughts that he had spoken of but… the genitals part throws the whole thing into a tailspin for me. I then under up wondering if it was some autoerotic asphyxiation case (as people thought with Michael Hutchencen)

In the end, I thought he played in some good roles and was saddened to see the news. It is even more sad, I think, that anyone who knew of him will now think “rope…suicide…genitals” is it true and even more so if it is not.

Cmon it’s Thailand.

Thailand + rope around genitals = only one possible explanation.

It’s been confirmed it was a ’sex act gone wrong’. Even celebrities have to get their rocks off.

Dude, in a city named BANGKOK how can you think anything else!

Don’t get me wrong, we all have to get our jollies in. While it’s sad to see, I am happy to see it wasn’t a suicide.

Oh… and when does one get the idea “I’m going to put a rope around my balls” and think “yea, this is right!” Maybe it’s just my limited life view, but… yea… it just seem very odd that someone would think that is normal.

OK, I just read on the CBC that it’s still up in the air and that the auto erotic asphyxiation might be a rumour…Of course his management would say that, but here’s the link:
