Vince Shlomi (ShamWow fame) also pitched a product called “Slap Chop”. If you don’t know Vince he was a one time Scientologist, who has since gone after the church, and also ran into a problem with the law about a month ago.

Anyway. The original commerical isn’t anything special except for the part where he says “You are going to love my nuts” in a not to subtle way of throwing some comedy into the commercial. Well, thank god the the interweb and the creative people out there and you get a remix of the original commercial.

This is very creative, done very well… and funny as hell.

That is good. I have a Pampered Chef version of this gadget and it works pretty well.

Now, I’m not one to really buy stuff like that… but I now have a new respect for the thing simply because of this remix!

Seriously guys, I didn’t even know it worked that well. I had up it up there as a “fad gadget” type of thing…. the fact that both of you have it makes me wonder what I’m missing out on.

Well, it doesn’t replace a good knife and decent knife skills. It’s got a small chopping area, which is actually well-illustrated in the video. I mainly use mine for nuts when I’m baking. Can be a pain to clean depending on what you chop in it. It is a cool tool, but they’re not reinventing the wheel or anything.

I wouldn’t get one for any major work, mainly for nuts/small amounts for fruit. Guess I’m going to have to stop at Bed, Bath and Beyond!

I hope you have a coupon!
I get them practically every other day. Not that I do that much shopping there.

I get them, see them all the time! It’s like you can never get away from their mail. People in the building simply leave them laying around on the mail counter downstairs. Some days there will be 10+ just sitting there.
