I think text messaging can get an individual into all sorts of trouble if they are revealing sensitive information, if they are texting an incorrect number and, especially, if they are revealing sensitive information while texting an incorrect number. Call me crazy but a critical factor in sending a text message is making sure you are get the right number.
This morning I woke to find three interesting messages from a number I was unfamiliar with. The first two were talking about how someone was unhappy with the relationship they were in but the final one was the juicy one – it basically said the individual sending the text wanted to get it on with me.
My initial reaction was a bit of shock, followed with the desire to text the person back pointing out the error of their ways…but I decided to leave it be as I thought they will be suffering enough when they realize the mistake that took place.
So, moral of the story – make sure you know what you are doing when you are doing it. Don’t me wrong, I’m flattered, but I have a feeling I wasn’t the target of the messages.
P.S. – Since we are on the topic of odd text messages, here is a humorous text exchange for you.
